This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Conduct age-appropriate medical histories and virtual examinations, assess, diagnose, propose treatment plans, and document findings in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide exceptional patient care while ensuring safety standards are upheld.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient medical information and review patient histories at each appointment.
• Seek consultations or referrals from other healthcare providers when necessary.
• Offer counseling and education to patients.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests as required.
• Evaluate, triage, and manage both pediatric and adult patients for acute care, including the management of chronic diseases and mental health issues.
• Stay informed about the latest medical research and trends.
• Provide administrative support or assist in reviewing laboratory test results.
• Work collaboratively with providers and support teams.
• Report directly to the Medical Director of Urgent Care.
• Board-certified physician.
• Completion of a 3-year residency in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Over 3 years of post-residency experience in a dynamic Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient environment.
• Current ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
• Eligibility for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLCC).
• Active and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state; residing in an IMLC state is a requirement.
• Experience and comfort in providing care across all age groups, from newborns to adults.
• Capability to operate within a coordinated medical practice.
• Extensive clinical expertise.
• Proven proficiency with technology.
• Not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program.
• Must maintain active Medicare status.
• Consistent and timely attendance at the assigned work location.
• Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Sufficient eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate computers and office-related equipment.
• Ability to occasionally exert approximately 20 lbs. of force.
• Ability to engage appropriately with leadership, employees, and members.
• Commitment to 1,560 annual hours; 60 hours per pay period.
• Weeknight 8-hour shifts from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the clinician's timezone.
• Every other weekend: two 8-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the clinician's timezone.
• Three holiday shifts each calendar year.
• Multistate licensure is preferred.
• Experience in telemedicine or virtual care is preferred.
• Familiarity with Athena EMR is preferred.
• Experience and interest in supervising Nurse Practitioners is preferred.
