This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.
• Provide extensive virtual care to patients of all ages dealing with a diverse array of conditions.
• Collaborate closely with provider and support teams.
• Conduct histories and virtual examinations appropriate for various age groups.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat conditions throughout the lifespan.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.
• Create and document timely and accurate treatment plans.
• Manage acute, chronic, and mental health issues for both pediatric and adult patients.
• Seek consultations or referrals when deemed appropriate.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families.
• Stay updated on clinical best practices and evidence-based care.
• Provide cross-coverage, including the review of lab results.
• Offer flexible scheduling options, including evenings and weekends.
• Graduate from an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.
• Prior graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Hold an active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license while maintaining Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Current national Family Nurse Practitioner certification through AANP or ANCC.
• Valid RN compact license.
• Active multi-state licensure.
• At least 3+ years of post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings.
• Experience in providing care to populations ranging from newborns to adults.
• Capability to operate within an integrated medical practice.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a wide variety of conditions.
• Proficient with technology and electronic medical records.
• Maintain active Medicare status and ensure good standing with Medicare/Medicaid.
• Not excluded from participation in federal health programs.
• Previous telemedicine or video-based virtual care experience is preferred.
• Experience with Athena EMR is preferred.
