This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
β’ Oversee the network across IP and transmission platforms (including xWDM) along with the foundational infrastructure (sites, owned and leased fiber).
β’ Respond to alarms that indicate both service-impacting and potential service-impacting issues.
β’ Initiate and carry out troubleshooting for faults and outages across applicable platforms.
β’ Resolve incidents at the first line whenever feasible, reducing the need for escalation to second-level support.
β’ Take complete ownership of incidents, ensuring their resolution and restoration.
β’ Collaborate with third-party providers (hardware vendors, field support, network providers) during troubleshooting efforts.
β’ Ensure precise and timely documentation during and after the resolution of incidents.
β’ Maintain clear and organized communication with both internal and external stakeholders during critical incidents.
β’ Monitor SLA commitments, track progress, and coordinate resolution efforts across teams.
β’ Prepare root cause analyses and outage reports.
β’ Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) during scheduled maintenance and outages.
β’ Configure and contribute to the development of NOC monitoring tools and processes.
β’ Collaborate with internal teams to enhance troubleshooting and facilitate information sharing.
β’ 3β5+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or a comparable environment.
β’ Strong technical knowledge in network troubleshooting across IP and/or transmission platforms.
β’ Solid understanding of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS, and xWDM technologies.
β’ CCNP Enterprise level expertise (for IP-focused roles) or equivalent hands-on experience.
β’ Practical experience with network monitoring tools, incident management, and fault resolution.
β’ Experience working in Linux/Windows environments.
β’ Excellent communication skills and capability to collaborate with internal teams and external providers.
β’ Experience in documenting incidents and maintaining clear technical reports.
β’ Nice-to-have skills: Experience with scripting (Python or Bash), background in the Telecom industry (TELCO), experience in configuring or enhancing NOC monitoring tools, and experience in an international setting.
