NOC Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Regularly assess and enhance the effectiveness of SMS routes, proactively pinpointing and resolving potential delivery challenges or inefficiencies.

• Oversee real-time traffic and route efficiency, responding swiftly to network alerts and delivery complications.

• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues associated with SMS routing, including network configurations, logs, and routing failures.

• Ensure the Messaging routing scheme is monitored and maintained for 24/7 availability.

• Timely address and escalate Trouble Tickets from Customers to Suppliers.

• Manage and resolve alarms, alerts, and incidents utilizing Alaris monitoring systems.

• Quickly respond to network issues, escalating to senior teams as required.

• Conduct root cause analysis to avert future instances of network disruptions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate system upgrades and configuration modifications.

• Document and revise operational processes, procedures, and incident reports.

• Continuously enhance system performance and adopt best practices for network reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• 2+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or telecommunications environment.

• Proficiency with Alaris systems is essential.

• Strong understanding of networking protocols, technologies, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities while working under pressure.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Experience in the voice field is advantageous.
