Next Generation Networks and Secure Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Offering consultative assistance to the industry for the development of a Next Generation Network (NGN) Communications Architecture Study.

• Composing a 5G white paper adhering to NCIA standard technical report format on a technical topic pertinent to NATO.

• Revising the previously conducted 5G readiness assessment.

• Preparing a technical report to update the earlier evaluation of the application of 5G/6G technologies in military contexts.

• Presenting a concise briefing for the MN5G Project Board to showcase the findings from the technical assessment.

• Conducting a review of Network Management and Cyber Defense (NMCD).

⛳️ Requirements

• The Contractor must hold a NATO SECRET security clearance to gain access to necessary documentation and NATO facilities.

• Expertise and experience in the engineering and design of large and complex Communication and Information Systems (CIS), including International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) 5G networks, Communication Systems, Networks, Infrastructure, Virtualization, Cloud, Security, Monitoring and Control, and Interoperability.

• Proficiency in system architecture and design.

• Experience in Enterprise and Capability architecture.

• Understanding of SMC aspects, relevant frameworks, and their implementation in extensive CIS networks.

• Background in Military CIS systems.

• Proficient in designing readiness assessments, surveys, and maturity assessment models for technology adoption.

• Familiarity with international, commercial, and industrial standards related to CIS.

• Experience with deployable CIS systems (both Military and Civilian).

• Experience in Service Design and Management.

• Knowledge of NATO's political objectives and organizational structure.
