News Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Reviewing dockets from federal and state courts

• Keeping track of regulatory databases and online resources

• Proposing story concepts to editors

• Monitoring congressional hearings and other significant events

• Opportunities to report and author various news articles

• Proven research and writing capabilities

• Strong organizational abilities

• Experience in the media or publishing sector (preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related discipline
