This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Address and resolve challenges within accounts by employing customized solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans that enhance product demand and improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and colleagues from the home office.
• Evaluate market, competitive, and cross-functional dynamics to pinpoint opportunities and obstacles.
• Leverage territory data and market trends to derive local insights that aid in pull-through initiatives.
• Lead customer interactions both virtually and in person.
• Organize planning sessions with key stakeholders to address complex challenges.
• Provide real-time access support and liaise with Patient Specialty Services.
• Utilize digital tools and omni-channel approaches to customize outreach to customers.
• Serve as the primary contact for accounts and Health Care Providers.
• Cultivate account relationships, identify common priorities, and connect customers with Novartis resources.
• A Bachelor's degree is required from an accredited 4-year college or university.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical device, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B, or a similarly complex sales environment within the last 5 years.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required for the Territory Account Specialist level.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required for the Senior Territory Account Specialist level.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required for the Executive Territory Account Specialist level.
• The Associate level is open to candidates with limited prior sales experience or recently transitioned US military leaders with at least 4 years of military service in a leadership role.
• A proven history of consistent high performance is essential.
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers is necessary.
• Analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and utilize information to resolve customer issues are required.
• Ethical leadership and the ability to advocate for ethical practices and compliance with company policies and regulations are critical.
• Must live within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geographical area is required.
• Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory is necessary.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver's license is mandatory.
• Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategies, and launching new products is preferred.
• Understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs is preferred.
• The company will not sponsor visas for this position.
• Customer-facing employees must adhere to customers' credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination.
• Successful completion of initial training, including no more than 8 hours of home study per day and 40 hours total per week, is required.
