This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Engage with healthcare providers personally through various channels, including in-person interactions, virtual meetings, and digital tools.
• Offer in-depth knowledge about products and approved indications, which encompasses intricate on-label details.
• Execute proactive outreach regarding product accessibility, on-label information, and established patient care guidelines.
• Refer customers to Customer Service Specialists and other colleagues as required.
• Ensure that customer requests are fulfilled and gather feedback regarding the quality of engagement.
• Organize and facilitate speaker programs.
• Coordinate local provider groups to share experiences and outcomes with local and regional leaders.
• Communicate opportunities, customer feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead.
• Work collaboratively with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, and ecosystem colleagues.
• Adjust targeting and call-point strategies in a compliant manner.
• Utilize customer insights to shape local strategies and business objectives.
• Educate office personnel on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Conduct balanced office visits and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references.
• Foster relationships with office and practice staff, directing discussions towards patient health.
• A minimum of one of the following: 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; 3+ years of B2B or equivalent outside sales experience; or 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered if they successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• Proficiency in conveying complex clinical information and transforming scientific data into clear, practical value propositions.
• Strong skills in influencing stakeholders.
• A commitment to ethical business practices and adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Ability to absorb and articulate complex clinical and product information.
• Must live within a 50-mile commuting distance from the primary city in the sales territory.
• Capable of utilizing competitive data and business reports for territory analysis and strategic planning.
• Familiarity with the territory and business conditions that impact sales performance.
• Ability to educate office staff regarding payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Competence in effectively using promotional materials.
• Skill in leveraging internal support team resources appropriately.
• Ability to address objections and influence prescribing behaviors.
• Capability to identify professional groups and network with potential key opinion leaders.
• Proficiency in building relationships with office and practice personnel.
• Commitment to providing accurate information and following through on account needs.
• Ability to deliver impactful sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references.
