This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Engage with healthcare providers through in-person interactions, virtual meetings, and digital platforms.
• Perform proactive outreach regarding product accessibility, on-label information, and established patient care recommendations.
• Direct inquiries to colleagues such as Customer Service Specialists when necessary.
• Ensure customer requests are fulfilled and gather feedback on the quality of engagement.
• Organize and facilitate speaker programs.
• Coordinate local provider groups with regional and local leaders.
• Elevate opportunities, feedback, and insights from local markets to the Area Business Lead.
• Collaborate with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, and ecosystem colleagues in a compliant manner.
• Adjust targeting and call-point strategies based on customer insights.
• Utilize business reports, sales data, competitive analysis, and promotional budgets for territory planning and analysis.
• Educate office staff regarding payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Conduct office visits and sales presentations utilizing approved marketing materials and technical references.
• Foster relationships with office and practice personnel to enhance patient outcomes.
• Minimum one qualifying experience: 2+ years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; less experience may be considered for individuals completing the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• Alternatively, 3+ years of business-to-business or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement environments.
• Or, 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience, such as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar role, with responsibilities focused on patient interaction, medical education, or therapy.
• Proficient in communicating complex clinical information and converting scientific data into clear, actionable value propositions.
• Strong capabilities in influencing stakeholders.
• Commitment to ethical business practices and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Ability to assimilate and convey complex clinical and product information effectively.
• Must live within a commutable distance of 50 miles from the primary city in the sales territory.
• Proficient in utilizing competitive data, business reports, sales metrics, and promotional budgets for territory planning.
• Knowledge of the territory and business conditions impacting sales performance.
• Competence in educating office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Ability to leverage approved promotional materials, technical references, studies, and package inserts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the company’s product and its competition.
• Proven ability to establish relationships with healthcare office and practice personnel.
