This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Promote Acadia products to healthcare professionals (HCPs) both in-person and virtually, offering clinical, disease state, and reimbursement information in a compliant and customer-centric approach.
• Develop and implement a territory business plan aimed at achieving or surpassing sales targets, utilizing market data, customer insights, and quarterly action plans.
• Build and sustain robust relationships with HCPs, including key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and objections utilizing advanced dialogue and selling techniques.
• Customize approved sales materials, clinical reprints, and brand resources to cater to specific customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., managed markets, operations, sales training, marketing) to provide coordinated solutions.
• Offer guidance on product pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution channels, serving as a liaison between customers and the Company for access-related matters.
• Precisely track and report sales activities, business expenses, and customer interactions in a timely fashion.
• Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, and training sessions; take part in national, regional, and local meetings as necessary.
• Mentor and train new sales specialists as required, and engage in cross-functional projects and field strategic insights.
• Education: Bachelor's degree required; life sciences preferred.
• Experience:
• Sales Specialist: Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare; neuroscience preferred.
• Senior Specialist: At least 5 years of healthcare sales experience (2+ in complex/account-based selling).
• Executive Specialist: A minimum of 12 years of healthcare sales experience (3+ in complex/account-based selling).
• Proven advanced selling skills, leadership qualities, and business acumen.
• Demonstrated success in influencing diverse HCP audiences across various care settings.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Capability to work independently, adapt to change, and consistently deliver high results.
• Must reside within the territory (or within 30 miles of its border) and hold a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to meet travel demands, including extensive driving and overnight stays; air travel as necessary.
• Compliance with vaccination requirements for HCP office access, long-term care facilities, and medical conferences is mandatory.
