This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Interact with healthcare providers through face-to-face meetings, virtual platforms, and digital resources concerning neuroscience products and their approved indications.
• Act as the main point of contact for healthcare provider clients.
• Evaluate territory data, market trends, competitive risks, payer influences, institutional impacts, and key opinion leader (KOL) mapping.
• Create territory business plans along with actionable strategies for both short-term and long-term goals.
• Provide education to office personnel on payer regulations and reimbursement processes related to neuroscience.
• Identify payer opportunities and manage sales data alongside promotional budget allocations.
• Work collaboratively with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, and other internal teams.
• Engage neuroscience customers strategically while serving as a subject matter expert on disease states.
• Participate in professional organizations and foster connections with key opinion leaders.
• Establish and sustain strategic relationships with neuroscience accounts.
• Influence prescribing patterns using approved promotional materials and tailored presentations.
• Track performance metrics, modify actions, and share successful strategies with the team.
• Anticipate market shifts and act as an internal expert in the subject matter.
• Adjust sales-cycle strategies in response to evolving conditions and aid in ecosystem development.
• Gain proficiency with internal systems and technology to derive business insights.
• Exemplify Otsuka values and contribute to the local team culture.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Specialist role within the designated therapeutic area.
• Consideration may be given to candidates with substantial therapeutic-area-specific or specialized hospital experience, even if they have less experience with Otsuka.
• Advanced knowledge of sales capabilities at a senior level.
• Strong understanding of territory analytics and business planning.
• High-level expertise in utilizing business data, market conditions, and KOL/network mapping.
• Familiarity with competitive landscapes, payer dynamics, and institutional/IDN influences.
• Knowledge of payer regulations and reimbursement procedures.
• Capability to allocate resources strategically using sales data and promotional budgets.
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with matrixed support teams.
• In-depth market and industry knowledge in neuroscience.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers.
• Comprehensive understanding of the product and competitor offerings.
• Proficient in using approved promotional materials and tailoring technical presentations.
• Business analytics skills for trend identification and market change forecasting.
