Network Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to field engineers, technicians, and product support staff in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging intricate electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems.

• Address scenarios where initial product support has been unable to identify or resolve issues in malfunctioning equipment or software.

• Communicate design, reliability, and maintenance issues or bugs to the design engineering/software engineering teams.

• May participate in customer installations and training sessions.

• Offer support to customers/users when the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.

• Execute varying levels of problem identification and resolution for desktop hardware and software challenges utilizing technical expertise.

• Conduct installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) tasks, as well as data backup and restoration for specific clients' accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting RTX or similarly large, complex aerospace or defense enterprise environments with extensive operational histories.

• Knowledge of legacy network architectures and ongoing modernization initiatives.

• At least 5 years of experience working in regulated, multi-site, globally distributed settings.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate account-specific governance, escalation procedures, and stakeholder relationships.

• Capacity to rapidly establish credibility by comprehending historical decisions, previous challenges, and current constraints within the account.

• Relevant IT service management or networking certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent).

• Strong comprehension of enterprise network environments (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, wireless).
