This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop comprehensive networking solutions tailored to each business unit.
• Set up and configure network devices and services, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
• Monitor and resolve issues related to network performance and connectivity.
• Conduct network maintenance and system upgrades outside of regular business hours.
• Establish and uphold network security policies and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with fellow engineers and vendors to address network challenges.
• Maintain documentation for network architecture, configuration, and procedures.
• Travel as necessary to install or maintain computing and networking systems.
• Offer on-call support for network emergencies.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field / equivalent practical experience.
• Over 4 years of experience in mid-sized or enterprise-level Information Technology (IT) programs.
• At least 2 years of verified experience in Network Engineering or Architecture; senior/lead experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, IPSEC, OSPF, BGP, QoS, etc.
• Practical experience with networking devices and tools from vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Auvik, DataDog, Wireshark, etc.
• Excellent skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
• Exceptional skill in generating documentation for both end-users and IT colleagues.
• Strong capability to deliver solutions promptly while adhering to commitments, meeting dependencies, and aligning with critical priorities.
