This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewall, and load-balancing infrastructure across multi-site and multi-cloud environments.
• Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, Datadog, and ThousandEyes, proactively resolving issues before they affect service delivery and SLA targets.
• Implement network security measures, including firewall rule sets, IDS/IPS, segmentation, NAC, and principles of zero-trust architecture.
• Design and manage AWS network infrastructure—VPCs, subnets, route tables, IGW, NAT Gateways, and ELBs—for scalable and highly available architectures.
• Configure AWS Transit Gateway and VPC peering to facilitate secure, low-latency connectivity across accounts, regions, and on-premises environments.
• Implement AWS Direct Connect and Site-to-Site VPN to establish hybrid connectivity between HealthEdge data centers and AWS.
• Administer AWS Route 53, including private hosted zones, resolver rules, and health-check-based routing policies.
• Manage AWS Security Groups, Network ACLs, AWS Network Firewall, and AWS Shield to ensure least-privilege access and DDoS protection.
• Utilize AWS CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and AWS Network Manager for observability, traffic analysis, and anomaly detection.
• Provide support for Azure or GCP networking as needed—VNets/VPCs, peering, and hybrid connectivity.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, triaging and resolving network incidents according to SLA targets; contribute to post-incident reviews to reduce MTTR.
• Implement network changes through established change management processes; act as a Tier 3 escalation resource for complex issues.
• Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Python to enhance monitoring, alerting, and network deployment workflows.
• Build and maintain IaC for AWS network resources, ensuring repeatable and auditable deployments while identifying optimization opportunities across the team’s roadmap.
• Maintain topology diagrams, runbooks, IPAM, and change records; support disaster recovery testing, vendor coordination, and legacy environment consolidation.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and Application teams, while mentoring junior team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering or network operations.
• Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and STP.
• Experience with enterprise firewall platforms including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco ASA/FTD.
• Proven expertise in AWS networking: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, Security Groups, Network ACLs, and AWS Network Firewall.
• Proficient in network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Datadog, PRTG, or similar.
• Experience with SD-WAN solutions such as Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, SSL/TLS, and PKI.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools including Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Python.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Health insurance.
• Professional development opportunities.
• Flexible work arrangements.
• Paid time off.
