This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot networks that are on-premises, in the cloud, or hybrid in nature.
• Drive enhancements in processes by utilizing automation and open-source technologies.
• Manage cloud network components within an Amazon Web Services environment.
• Employ automation tools to monitor and maintain systems, reduce total cost of ownership, and achieve established key performance indicators.
• Create solutions that are reusable and applicable to common networking challenges.
• Ensure that network hardware and software are consistently updated and maintained, including preventive measures.
• Monitor and analyze the networking environment to pinpoint and resolve issues.
• Maintain a strong focus on detail-oriented practices to deliver well-tested, secure, interoperable, and reproducible technologies that align with the company’s vision and strategy.
• Foster effective relationships within the organization.
• Keep abreast of current and emerging network technologies.
• Comply with all organizational information security policies and safeguard sensitive information, including but not limited to electronic protected health information (ePHI) and protected health information (PHI), in accordance with organizational policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Proficient understanding of networking concepts, including the OSI Model, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, IPsec VPN, and NAT.
• Familiarity with industry-standard networking concepts, practices, procedures, and protocols.
• Knowledge of cloud networking principles, particularly within Amazon Web Services.
• Acquainted with at least one scripting language or configuration tool (such as Ansible, BASH, Python, etc.).
• Understanding of wireless network design and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills that lead to well-founded recommendations and decisions.
• Capacity to work with a high degree of autonomy, integrity, and accountability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented setting.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to respond to incident-related escalations outside of regular hours when necessary.
