Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive customer support with a focus on SDWAN, ideally with Versa Networks, as well as Internet and related services.

• Diagnose and set up basic LAN configurations, routers, firewalls, and Microsoft operating systems.

• Assist in the provisioning and onboarding process for new customers utilizing managed services.

• Work collaboratively with vendors to address support challenges and guarantee seamless service delivery.

• Take ownership of support issues from resolution through to completion, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout.

• Foster excellent customer relationships by providing exceptional support and effective problem-solving.

• Guide and mentor fellow engineers in navigating complex technical challenges and solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

• 3–5 years of pertinent experience in a dynamic technical setting.

• Established proficiency in SDWAN, especially with Versa Networks.

• CCNA and CCNP certifications are highly preferred.

• Experience with command line and networking tools such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper.

• Strong background in firewall configuration, particularly with Fortinet.

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, and VRRP protocols.

• Practical understanding of routers, firewalls, and NAT (Network Address Translation).

• Familiarity with COS/QOS and principles of network design.

• Awareness of SOC 2 compliance and its associated processes.
