Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive support to customers, emphasizing SDWAN (preferably Versa Networks), Internet, and associated services.

• Diagnose and set up basic LAN configurations (Routers, Firewalls) and Microsoft operating systems.

• Assist in the provisioning and onboarding process for new customers utilizing managed services.

• Partner with vendors to address support challenges and ensure seamless service delivery.

• Take ownership of support issues from initiation to resolution, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and expert problem-solving.

• Foster excellent customer relationships by providing exceptional support and exceeding expectations.

• Guide and train fellow engineers on intricate technical matters and solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

• 3-5 years of pertinent experience in a dynamic technical setting, showcasing expertise in SDWAN, especially Versa Networks.

• CCNA and CCNP certifications are strongly preferred.

• Proficient in command line operations with networking tools (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper).

• Solid experience in firewall configuration (e.g., Fortinet).

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with BGP, OSPF, and VRRP.

• Fundamental understanding of basic routers, firewalls, and NAT (Network Address Translation).

• Familiarity with COS/QOS and principles of network design.

• Understanding of SOC 2 compliance and related processes.
