Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, implementation, management, and optimization of network infrastructure.

• Support the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).

• Utilize network analysis tools, such as Wireshark, to identify and help resolve issues.

• Contribute to efforts in Software-Defined Networking (SDN) architecture and automated configuration tasks.

• Aid in network assessments, documentation updates, and the development of configuration baselines.

• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to assist in the development of network policies and ensure adherence to client IT standards.

• Help troubleshoot and resolve network incidents in conjunction with senior engineers.

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data security.

• Effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant IT experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper).

• Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools and processes.
