This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Assist in the management of BAU operations, projects, and incident resolution by collaborating with vendors and partners to reduce business impact.
β’ Ensure that Network and Telecommunications services are provided in accordance with contractual obligations, architectural standards, security protocols, and availability criteria.
β’ Oversee relationships with suppliers and vendors, which includes conducting service reviews, contract renewals, and monitoring service performance.
β’ Serve as a primary point of contact among IT Operations, Business Change, IT Delivery, support teams, and external providers.
β’ Review and authorize changes, participate in CAB meetings, and facilitate the seamless transition of new and modified services into support.
β’ Assist in financial governance, resource planning, certificate management, vulnerability patching, and other operational controls.
β’ Identify and apply service enhancements, cost-saving measures, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
β’ Practical experience with Cisco switching and routing CLI, with additional skills in firewalling being a plus.
β’ Background in multinational telecommunications provision and support, encompassing network infrastructure, WAN, LAN, mobile, telephony, data centers, and cloud partnerships.
β’ Solid understanding of ITIL principles along with Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes (ITIL Foundation preferred).
β’ Extensive experience in defining, supporting, and managing the lifecycle of Network and Telecommunications services.
β’ Proven track record of managing outsourced support teams, suppliers, and vendors, including adherence to contractual obligations, SLAs, and formal supplier relationship management.
β’ Strong skills in stakeholder management and communication, capable of translating technical information into business language, including engagement at the board level.
β’ Experience in a matrix-managed environment with knowledge of budgeting and cost control processes.
β’ Excellent decision-making abilities and the capacity to maintain clarity and focus under pressure.
β’ Commitment to staying informed about technological trends and solutions in the Network and Telecommunications field.
β’ ITIL v3 Practitioner or ITIL 4 Managing Professional (or equivalent) is preferred.
