This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the integration of emerging technologies into infrastructure networks while enhancing and supporting existing Information Technology Services.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, software, and networked peripheral devices.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve intricate infrastructure issues for a diverse range of end users.
• Suggest and implement corrective measures.
• Address and resolve escalated service desk tickets.
• Build, install, and test tailored configurations across various platforms and operating systems.
• Assist the I.T.S. Team in researching and developing new technologies to elevate I.T. Services.
• Assess and recommend products for acquisition.
• Aid in the development, deployment, and maintenance of various I.T.S projects and services.
• Draft technical specifications for I.T. Services.
• Create and sustain related documentation.
• Propose, schedule, and execute system enhancements, upgrades, and repairs.
• Collaborate with third-party support and equipment vendors.
• Stay technically proficient by keeping updated on technological advancements and future technology trends.
• Diploma or Degree in IT Operations with at least 4 years of equivalent work experience in server/networking.
• I.T. Certifications are advantageous.
• 3-4 years of experience in I.T. Operations.
• Practical troubleshooting experience.
• Solid technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards, including TCP/IP, HTTP, POP3, SMTP, Windows Server 2003 - 2008R2, Windows networking concepts, Microsoft Office applications, and corporate and personal antivirus software.
• Experience with switches, firewalls, security, and mobile devices.
• Familiarity with Information Technology service management frameworks such as MOF or ITIL is a plus.
• Ability to plan, research topics, and think creatively.
• Capability to multitask, persevere, and adapt.
• Strong judgment and tact.
• Knowledge of SAN, VLAN, and virtualization technologies (HyperV, VMware).
• Proficient in reading and comprehending technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
• Ability to create and maintain documentation.
• Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
• Self-motivated and directed with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service orientation coupled with organizational and time management skills.
• Availability for on-call emergencies.
• Capacity to sit for prolonged periods.
• Willingness to work weekend hours for monthly maintenance updates.
• Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and handle other computer components.
• Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings, as well as server racks.
• Potential travel to GoodLife clubs or offsite meetings and conferences.
