
NetSuite Support Engineer – Release Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Take ownership of the release process.
• Strategically plan and implement the deployments of SDF Account Customization Projects and SuiteApps across various customer environments — including sandbox, release-preview, and production — while managing deployment windows, versioning, and rollback strategies.
• Execute deployments to customer environments.
• Initiate and oversee releases utilizing the SuiteCloud CLI and automation, ensuring that object dependencies, feature requirements, and account configurations are met prior to promoting changes.
• Analyze logs and troubleshoot failures.
• Review SuiteCloud CLI output, GitHub Actions run logs, and NetSuite execution/script logs to identify validation errors, object conflicts, missing dependencies, permission and role issues, as well as account drift.
• Collaborate with on-call engineers for troubleshooting.
• Work alongside developers and on-call engineers during deployment incidents — recreating issues, gathering evidence, conducting root-cause analysis, and coordinating fixes or rollbacks under time constraints.
• Lead incident response efforts.
• Appropriately escalate issues, clearly communicate status to internal teams and customers, and guide deployment-related challenges to resolution.
• Enhance the system.
• Keep runbooks and deployment documentation up to date, minimize manual processes, and consistently improve the reliability and observability of the release process.
• Assist customer accounts. Manage deployment credentials, tokens, and roles; aid in reproducing and resolving post-release issues reported by customers and support teams.
• At least 3 years of NetSuite development experience with hands-on involvement in the NetSuite ecosystem.
• Practical experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) in building and deploying Account Customization Projects and/or SuiteApps, including manifest and deploy XML, custom objects, and dependency management.
• Proficiency in SuiteScript 2.0/2.1: capable of reading, debugging, and analyzing User Event, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, and RESTlet scripts to diagnose deployment and runtime issues effectively.
• Familiarity with SuiteCloud CLI: comfortable validating, previewing, and deploying projects via the CLI, as well as managing authentication.
• Strong skills in Git & GitHub Actions: solid Git workflow abilities alongside practical experience in writing and maintaining GitHub Actions (YAML) for CI/CD processes.
• Excellent debugging and log-analysis skills: a systematic approach to reading logs, isolating failures, and formulating and testing hypotheses.
• Fundamental understanding of NetSuite account functionalities: working knowledge of roles, permissions, features, and token-based/OAuth authentication.
• Availability for day shifts: must be able to work during day shift PH time, aligned with after-hours deployment windows across EST, CST, and PST.
