.Net Umbraco Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Create, test, and maintain web and mobile applications.

• Provide precise cost estimates for projects.

• Investigate and assess software technologies and products.

• Implement and uphold best practices in development and programming standards across projects.

• Continuously enhance development processes and libraries for optimal maintainability, scalability, and efficiency.

• Conduct code audits and reviews of pull requests.

• Offer assistance and support to team members on their projects when necessary.

• Engage with clients to ascertain their requirements and needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in web and mobile development.

• Required experience in developing and maintaining applications with Umbraco CMS as the core backend component.

• Proficiency in .NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, Web API, Web Services, Razor, and JSON.

• Strong frontend skills and experience with HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.

• Solid knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, React Native, and Typescript.

• Good database and server-side application skills with Azure, SQL, and NoSQL (Cosmos).

• Experience with cloud hosting platforms, particularly Azure App Services, and familiarity with Azure DevOps is highly advantageous.

• Excellent understanding of stored procedures and database design/normalization.

• Strong grasp of source control best practices and branching strategies.

• Experience working directly with clients, understanding their business strategies, and translating these into the applications you design.

• Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM methodologies.

• Willingness to mentor and develop motivated junior team members.
