This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct examinations of titles for real property to ascertain status and establish the chain of title.
• Support Exam staff by addressing file-level inquiries and concerns.
• Analyze turn-time reports and recommend modifications to file distribution and workflow procedures.
• Distribute work and offer guidance and support to the exam team.
• Assist Exam Specialists in resolving issues related to missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or conflicting title documents.
• Abstract and evaluate deeds, deeds of trust/mortgages, easements, judgments, tax assessments, mineral reservations, and other relevant instruments.
• Confirm ownership and encumbrances related to real property.
• Aid Management and Exam Staff in daily task allocation and workflow/process enhancements.
• Facilitate daily management of Exam staff at both individual and team levels.
• Manage an individual daily file pipeline.
• Support the Manager with daily operational requirements and ensure adherence to customer-required SLAs.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in title or settlement services.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
• Capability to comprehend, retain, and execute oral and/or written directives.
• Ability to understand, remember, and convey routine factual information.
• Competence in recognizing opposing perspectives on complex matters and negotiating as well as integrating diverse viewpoints.
• Practical application of common sense in job performance.
• Decision-making ability that moderately impacts the immediate work unit.
• Skill in organizing thoughts and concepts into clear terminology.
• Ability to prioritize and organize personal work schedule effectively on a short-term basis.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations and the ability to record, balance, and verify results for accuracy.
• Capability to comprehend and adhere to basic instructions and guidelines.
• Ability to draft letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports, or communicate technical information orally.
• Proficient in accurate, audible, and prompt oral communication with others.
