National Medical Director – Episodic Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and expand interdisciplinary care teams that provide support to patients throughout the entire acute care continuum on a national level, promoting a culture of excellence and clinical integrity.

• Accountable for recruiting and supervising the leaders of an expanding team of physicians and advanced practice providers.

• Propel the strategy and business performance for episodic care during the post-emergency department, post-hospital, and post-acute phases.

• Develop a dependable AI-driven system that identifies high-value care pathways tailored to the individual patient's context.

• Establish and expand a high-touch, virtual in-home "observation" level of care program.

• Utilize comprehensive insights from acute incidents to enforce critical safety protocols and quality benchmarks across the entire organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified physician (preferably in emergency medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine) with over 5 years of clinical practice, willing to continue working in a virtual care environment.

• Proven experience in leading and managing clinicians, including advanced practice providers.

• Demonstrated success in building or expanding a clinical program or service line, rather than merely operating within one.

• Comfortable collaborating with engineering, product, and data teams.

• Background in designing interventions to enhance population health outcomes and familiarity with measuring and tracking care quality.

• Experience working within interdisciplinary teams combining clinical and non-clinical roles.

• Preferred experience with virtual care, Medicare populations, or urgent care settings.
