National Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage daily relationships across buying, replenishment, eCommerce, operations, and category teams.

• Achieve revenue, profit, and distribution goals for designated accounts.

• Spearhead Joint Business Plans (JBPs), promotional calendars, assortment planning, and line reviews.

• Facilitate new product launches, resets, and assortment optimization utilizing data and consumer insights.

• Conduct quarterly business reviews and provide executive-level performance summaries.

• Formulate pricing and promotional strategies that align with both retailer and company profitability objectives.

• Oversee annual trade spend budgets, accruals, reconciliations, and ROI analysis.

• Collaborate with Finance to mitigate deductions, chargebacks, and claims through root-cause analysis.

• Work alongside Demand Planning to synchronize forecasts with POS trends, seasonality, and promotional activities.

• Enhance in-stock performance, fill rates, and retailer scorecard metrics.

• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Customer Operations to proactively address inventory and fulfillment challenges.

• Ensure adherence to retailer operational standards, including EDI, ASNs, routing guides, labeling, and invoicing.

• Supervise item setup and maintenance, covering product data, packaging, dimensions, and digital content.

• Implement corrective measures to decrease chargebacks and operational fines.

• Act as the internal customer advocate across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, QA, and Product teams.

• Direct cross-functional execution for launches, promotions, and strategic initiatives.

• Develop scalable processes and playbooks to enhance efficiency and performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in National Account Management, Key Account Sales, or Customer Leadership within CPG, pet, consumer products, or similar sectors.

• Demonstrated experience managing major retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Target, Tractor Supply, Petco, PetSmart, Sam’s Club, or CVS.

• Strong background in JBPs, promotions, pricing strategy, forecasting, and trade management.

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced level.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
