This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Accountable for securing and enhancing access for Neurocrine brands within designated payer accounts, encompassing National and Regional Managed Care Organizations, PBMs, and State Medicaid programs.
• Develops and maintains strategic relationships that promote patient access, reimbursement, and utilization while maximizing gross-to-net performance, in alignment with Neurocrine’s enterprise and brand goals.
• Utilizes extensive knowledge of the U.S. payer landscape, including formulary decision-making, reimbursement dynamics, and population health management.
• Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to formulate and implement access strategies that balance access, affordability, and financial viability.
• Ensures all strategies are consistent with Neurocrine’s strategic priorities and are executed in accordance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
• BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, or a Scientific Field and over 12 years of experience managing national/regional payer accounts, including Managed Care, PBMs, and/or Medicaid types in the behavioral health sector is highly preferred.
• OR a Master's degree or MBA is preferred, along with 10+ years of relevant experience as mentioned above.
• Demonstrated success in engaging formulary decision-makers, such as P&T committees, medical/pharmacy directors, and executive stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in navigating complex payer accounts as well as reimbursement and policy environments.
• Proven history of securing and optimizing formulary access and reimbursement for specialty pharmaceutical products.
• Advanced skills in developing and executing integrated payer strategies that align with brand and enterprise objectives.
• Comprehensive understanding and experience in leading contracting strategies, rebate negotiations, implementation of access agreements, and ensuring effective execution of contract terms.
• Strong grasp of pharmaceutical gross-to-net dynamics, including rebates, discounts, fees, and the implications of payer mix.
• Proven capability to assess trade-offs between access, utilization, and net revenue to enhance sustainable brand performance.
• Ability to interpret financial models and leverage insights in real-world payer strategy and negotiations.
• In-depth understanding of the U.S. payer landscape, including Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and commercial markets.
• Expertise in formulary decision-making processes, utilization management (PA/ST), and reimbursement policy development.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare policy, pricing, compliance, and evolving regulatory factors.
• Exceptional ability to communicate and influence senior/executive stakeholders both internally and externally.
