Multi-Specialty Professional Coder – Hospitalist Primary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Precisely code medical records for evaluation and management services, ancillary services, surgical procedures, and diagnoses.

• Capable of working autonomously and adhering to project deadlines.

• Remain informed about new coding regulations as codes frequently change.

• Responsible for upholding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information.

• Adhere to HIPAA security policies and procedures relevant to your role, and report any suspected or actual violations or breaches.

• Generate coding reports for clients and the Coding Services Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of coding experience.

• Extensive coding proficiency across various specialties, including all primary care specialties, hospitalists, pulmonology, medical oncology, general surgery, etc.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.

• Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and internet applications.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency.

• Outstanding customer service capabilities.

• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.

• Certification Requirements: CPC or CCS-P is mandatory; CPMA and CEMC are preferred.
