This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design and animate motion graphics for launch videos, commercials, product explainers, social media content, and brand campaigns.
• Develop projects from initial concept to final delivery, utilizing 2D animation, UI, typography, compositing, and edit-driven animation techniques.
• Convert creative direction and storyboards into engaging motion that achieves the desired tone, pacing, and overall feel.
• Collaborate closely with producers, editors, designers, and directors to bring creative ideas to fruition.
• Respond swiftly to feedback from creative leads and clients while maintaining high standards of craft.
• Assist in the creation and upkeep of templates, presets, and motion systems that enhance consistency across various projects.
• Maintain a balance between speed and quality while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strive to elevate work beyond the conventional. We appreciate individuals with a strong sense of taste, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to refining work until it feels outstanding.
• Keep up to date with tools, techniques, and trends that can enhance the quality of our motion output.
• Between 3 to 5 years of experience as a motion designer, preferably within a studio, agency, or in-house creative team.
• A robust portfolio showcasing a variety of work including product and UI motion, brand projects, and edit-driven animation.
• Proficient in After Effects; familiarity with Figma and Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
• Strong foundation in visual design principles — typography, layout, color theory, composition, and timing.
• A clear perspective on motion design — including easing, transitions, and restraint — with the ability to articulate your design choices.
• A keen eye for detail, noticing aspects that others may overlook, and a commitment to precision.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and quickly iterating without losing momentum.
• Experience in studio, agency, or fast-paced startup environments.
• Self-motivated and prepared for remote work, able to manage your workload effectively, communicate clearly in writing, and coordinate across time zones.
