
Mortgage Loan Processor – Construction and Renovation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Evaluate loan applications for precision and completeness.
• Gather, authenticate, and assess supporting documents, such as income, assets, credit, title, and appraisal.
• Present comprehensive loan files to underwriting within designated timeframes.
• Confirm that all conditions are fulfilled prior to closing.
• Serve as the main contact for Loan Officers, borrowers, and third-party vendors throughout the processing phase.
• Offer clear and timely updates on loan status to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with underwriters, closers, and other team members to address and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor regulations as well as company policies.
• Keep precise records in the loan origination system.
• Recognize and escalate possible risks or concerns during the loan review process.
• Provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients.
• Assist borrowers in understanding document requirements and address processing-related inquiries.
• Demonstrated experience as a mortgage loan processor or in a comparable position.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting protocols, and compliance standards.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, including phone interactions.
• Remarkable operational adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced lending landscape.
• Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Proficient in mortgage processing systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in managing construction and renovation lending documentation, compliance, and timelines.
• Understanding of ground-up new construction financing.
• Familiarity with Agency One-Time Close (OTC) loan programs.
• Knowledge of FHA 203(k) and Fannie Mae HomeStyle® Renovation loans.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred (not mandatory).
