This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
⢠Execute a diverse array of tasks associated with the origination of residential first mortgage loans based on external referrals.
⢠Achieve the standards and objectives set forth by management regarding mortgage loan sales and cross-selling initiatives.
⢠Take full responsibility for the residential mortgage loan process from application through to closing.
⢠Maintain accountability for risk by openly sharing ideas and concerns, addressing issues, and adhering to established policies and procedures.
⢠Commit to doing what is right for both customers and colleagues, ensuring that actions and behaviors foster a positive customer experience.
⢠Drive results by consistently identifying, evaluating, managing, monitoring, and reporting various types of risks.
⢠Cultivate referral networks with realtors, builders, and both professional and personal contacts.
⢠Stay informed about Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures.
⢠Keep up-to-date with available loan products, processing protocols, underwriting, and general departmental guidelines.
⢠Adhere to established protocols for escalating exceptions.
⢠Gather applicant information by completing the Fannie Mae form 1003 on a laptop.
⢠Utilize the laptop for communication, accessing daily rates, applicant credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and submitting the loan to LOMAS.
⢠Collect necessary documentation from each applicant and submit the loan package within the timelines set by management.
⢠Oversee the pipeline for all originated loans until closing and complete the required management reports.
⢠Communicate with branches and/or applicants to provide timely updates and progress reports.
⢠Maintain high standards of customer service while managing the expectations of each applicant and support staff.
⢠Attend and actively participate in all Consumer Lending meetings as required by management.
⢠A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
⢠A four-year college degree is preferred.
⢠Familiarity with conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
⢠Understanding of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
⢠Knowledge of federal lending regulations that govern real estate lending.
⢠Proven organizational skills.
⢠Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
⢠Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills.
⢠Proven proficiency in computer skills.
⢠Basic sales technique capabilities.
⢠A strong desire to excel in a competitive environment.
⢠S.A.F.E. Act registration is required upon employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
