This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Originates and sells residential mortgage loans in accordance with established policies, procedures, and relevant legal and regulatory standards.
• Accepts applications for residential mortgage loans and negotiates or offers terms for these loans.
• Provides explanations of various mortgage products and services available, making recommendations tailored to the specific needs of individual prospects.
• Assists customers throughout the mortgage application process.
• Manages customer expectations regarding processing timelines and closing dates.
• Generates referrals for potential mortgage sales opportunities.
• Communicates loan decisions directly to customers.
• Enhances knowledge of current industry practices and trends by learning from seasoned sales professionals.
• A Bachelor's degree or relevant progressive work experience in addition to the experience listed below.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage origination.
• Demonstrated sales ability.
• Developing knowledge of the mortgage industry, including products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains exceptional sales and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to organize personal activities to meet sales objectives.
• Strong time management capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient PC skills, including the ability to learn mortgage origination and automated underwriting systems.
