Mortgage Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Follow up on and convert loan applications.

• Oversee an active pipeline of loan applications to achieve the highest possible loan closings each month.

• Utilize sales expertise to transform the pipeline into locked loans while adhering to margin objectives.

• This role involves interacting with consumers to gather necessary loan documentation and collaborating closely with team members, such as Processors and Closers, to surpass production targets while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Consulting.

• Collect relevant loan application information, foster consumer relationships, and leverage technical knowledge of the mortgage industry to provide insights to consumers, aiding them in making informed loan decisions.

• Relationship Management.

• Collaborate and manage relationships with current and former consumers, Realtors, the Customer Experience team, Corporate Clients & Directors, and other external parties to cultivate referral relationships, enhance conversion rates, and deliver innovative solutions while addressing issues.

• Training.

• Maintain an excellent understanding of current programs, products, and guidelines.

• Engage in ongoing continuing education to uphold required state licensing and other professional credentials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred completion of specialized mortgage lending courses.

• Two years of experience in mortgage origination or loan operations is preferred.

• A customer service-oriented mindset with outstanding sales abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Highly driven, goal-focused, with a keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Preferred strong knowledge of mortgage loan products, guidelines, and regulations.

• Candidates must register as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the NMLS and be ready to meet all requirements of the Federal S.A.F.E. Act along with State S.A.F.E. regulations. This includes fingerprinting, background checks, restricted parties lists, credit checks, and demonstrating personal financial responsibility, in addition to completing pre-licensing education and testing.
