Molding and Casting Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Engage with the Sales Team and manufacturers throughout Europe and Asia to prepare quotations;

• Evaluate incoming 3D CAD part designs for High Pressure Injection Molding, High Pressure Die Casting, Thermoforming, and other tooling technologies;

• Enhance part 3D CAD designs and increase design feasibility;

• Participate in pre-sales meetings with the Sales Team and external clients through video calls, addressing technical questions and providing answers;

• Support the DFM phase of the project to validate technical solutions proposed by manufacturers and present these to the end customer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional background in one of the following areas: High Pressure Injection Molding Tools Designer, Thermoplastic Processing Engineer, or Design Engineer for HPDC, LPDC;

• Experience in an engineering role on a production floor involving plastic processing or in developing parts suitable for molding or casting processes;

• In-depth knowledge of part design guidelines for feasible high pressure injection molding or aluminum die casting, familiarity with common processing quality issues and their root causes, and understanding Mold Flow analysis and its outputs;

• Awareness of various plastic post-processing techniques, including pad printing, silk-screening, spray painting, chroming, and hot foil stamping;

• Familiarity with additional tooling technologies such as Vacuum Casting in silicone molds, Compression Molding, Investment Casting, and Sand Casting is a plus;

• Strong multicultural communication abilities in English, capable of persuading, justifying, and defending ideas and technical solutions to both external and internal stakeholders;

• Proactive in generating ideas to enhance daily operations.
