This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Create module assessment tools tailored for specific modules.
• Develop a comprehensive set of examination and assignment resources.
• Ensure alignment of deliverables with approved module objectives and estimated learning hours.
• Maintain originality in work and comply with required templates and formats.
• A Master's degree in a relevant discipline for the applied module(s) (mandatory).
• Exception for NQF Level 5 modules: An Honours degree in the pertinent field will be accepted for modules designed at NQF Level 5 only.
• Minimum of two years' experience in higher education teaching, curriculum development, assessment creation, or instructional design.
• Proven experience in developing examinations, assignments, memoranda, or study guides.
• Strong understanding of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), Bloom's Taxonomy, and principles of outcomes-based assessment.
• Knowledge of the regulatory framework for private higher education in South Africa (CHE, DHET, SAQA).
• Excellent academic writing, analytical, and editorial abilities.
• Capability to adhere to strict deadlines and integrate feedback from moderators.
• Proficient in computer use and have reliable access to a laptop or desktop with stable internet.
• Provision of study materials.
• Training opportunities available.
• Quality assurance and moderation processes in place.
• Fixed-fee contract arrangement.
• Operate as an independent contractor.
