
Mobile Vehicle Condition Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Perform comprehensive on-site inspections of vehicle conditions for dealer clients within a designated territory.
• Locate, start, maneuver, assess, and safely return vehicles on client dealership lots.
• Confirm vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; accurately enter data into systems.
• Examine and document the exterior and interior condition of vehicles, including tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed features.
• Conduct basic mechanical evaluations across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
• Identify and record any damage, missing parts, or non-functional features.
• Establish trust with dealer clients and provide education on Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services.
• Actively engage with dealers to boost inspection volume and ensure ongoing participation.
• Utilize data, insights, and partner feedback to optimize inspection efficiency and enhance territory productivity.
• Adapt to daily appointment and schedule shifts to guarantee dealer coverage.
• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.
• Use Salesforce.com for reporting, managing leads, and tracking customer performance.
• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, colleagues, and other teams within Manheim.
• Contribute to process improvements within a continuous improvement and Lean framework.
• Maintain production goals and adhere to safety and health protocols.
• Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Comply with Manheim inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Depending on the level, conduct basic, detailed, complex, advanced, or high-complexity inspections; mentor peers and assist in onboarding and development.
• Level 1: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Level 1: Basic automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical).
• Level 1: 0–1 years of automotive-related experience preferred.
• Level 1: Valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required.
• Level 1: Must be able to meet physical and mental demands within specified timeframes.
• Level 2: High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a relevant field; alternatively, any degree/certification beyond a high school diploma/GED or 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Level 2: 1–2 years of automotive-related experience preferred.
• Level 2: Valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required.
• Level 2: Must be able to meet physical and mental demands within specified timeframes.
• Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of experience in a relevant field; alternatively, any degree/certification beyond a high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience, or 7 years of experience in a related field.
• Senior Level: Prior vehicle inspection experience is required.
• Senior Level: Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) is required.
• Senior Level: 2–3 years of automotive-related experience is highly preferred.
• Senior Level: 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections is recommended.
• Senior Level: Valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required.
• Senior Level: Must be able to meet physical and mental demands within specified timeframes.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
