This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take ownership of and enhance the architecture of PandaDoc’s mobile applications across various platforms (iOS, Android) using React Native.
• Make informed technical decisions and establish standards for code quality, testing, performance, and cross-team collaborations.
• Create shared infrastructure, libraries, and components that can be utilized by multiple teams.
• Enhance developer experience, tools, workflows, and CI/CD processes for mobile development.
• Work together with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders to convert product strategies into actionable engineering plans.
• Manage the balance between technical debt and new feature development while ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Lead and mentor a group of engineers, offering guidance on career advancement, skill enhancement, and tackling technical challenges.
• Implement effective processes for team delivery, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
• Set ambitious objectives and assist your team in accomplishing them.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain exceptional mobile engineering talent.
• Collaborate closely with track leadership to contribute to both company-wide and track-specific initiatives.
• Partner with product, design, and QA teams to ensure the mobile experience aligns with PandaDoc’s strategy and meets customer needs.
• Foster continuous improvement in mobile engineering practices to ensure efficiency and predictability.
• Over 8 years of engineering experience, with substantial experience in mobile development and hands-on coding.
• Proven track record in leading mobile architecture and cross-platform solutions (React Native, iOS, Android).
• Strong understanding of React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and best practices in mobile development.
• Experience in building shared libraries, UI components, navigation frameworks, or developer tools.
• Previous contributions to delivery processes and enhancing engineering efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of influencing and mentoring engineers.
• Experienced in working within a product organization, balancing business needs with technical priorities.
• A self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is focused on customer and product outcomes.
