Mobile QA Engineer – Crypto Wallet, Card

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Conduct testing on intricate fintech and cryptocurrency workflows, including transactions, card operations, swaps, KYC processes, asset transfers, and fiat on/off-ramps.

• Take ownership of quality assurance: actively test new features on mobile platforms (iOS/Android), backend services, and back-office applications.

• Engage in feature design and delivery, proactively identifying risks and quality considerations early in the development cycle.

• Analyze production issues, replicate defects, and ensure that root causes are effectively addressed.

• Collaborate with developers to establish an automated testing strategy and ensure adequate coverage.

• Create thorough test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

• Evaluate automated test implementations to guarantee substantial coverage of critical business functionalities.

• Elevate the QA standards within the team by developing templates, checklists, and bug-reporting standards, while monitoring key metrics (defect rate, escape rate, CFR/LT) and converting them into actionable insights.

• Maintain robust production environments by overseeing monitoring through Sentry, Firebase, and Grafana, leading incident responses and post-mortems, and investigating root causes to enhance system reliability over time.

• Foster a quality-first engineering culture that integrates testing into the development lifecycle.

• Assist in incident investigations, post-mortems, and ongoing reliability enhancements.

• Track product health using observability and analytics tools.

• Influence product and engineering decisions through data-driven insights, technical analysis, and risk evaluation.

• Aid teams in balancing delivery speed with product reliability and customer trust.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fundamental QA expertise.

• Extensive hands-on experience in manual testing for mobile applications and backend systems, with a minimum of 5 years in ensuring quality within production environments.

• Practical experience in establishing and fostering a quality-first culture across production products, promoting continuous improvement, and scaling QA practices in alignment with product development.

• Profound knowledge of test design methodologies, exploratory testing, regression strategies, and risk-based testing.

• Experience in testing complex business logic within fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, trading, or similarly regulated sectors.

• Strong skills in API testing and debugging.

• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on test automation projects.

• Ability to comprehend system architecture, backend integrations, and data flows.

• Solid understanding of performance, reliability, and scalability testing principles.
