Middle Site Reliability Engineer – CDN, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance CDN configurations, which include caching rules, redirects, and traffic management across a worldwide edge network.

• Diagnose and resolve CDN-related production issues through log analysis and performance assessments during high traffic events.

• Evaluate merge requests from product and platform engineering teams, providing insights on cache behavior and edge performance.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI to ensure the secure implementation of CDN configuration updates.

• Collaborate with development teams in both the US and EU time zones to facilitate the onboarding of new services behind the CDN.

• Keep documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures up-to-date while contributing to the monitoring and alerting of edge traffic.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Web Operations position.

• Hands-on experience with a public CDN such as Fastly, Varnish, Cloudflare, or Akamai, including the creation of cache and routing rules.

• A solid understanding of HTTP fundamentals, including cache headers, redirects, surrogate keys, and purge strategies.

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and strong Linux administration skills.

• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash, along with familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools like Copilot or Claude.

• Upper Intermediate English proficiency with excellent communication skills suitable for a distributed team environment.
