Middle School English Language Arts Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• This role involves collaboration with Alabama Connections Academy. Certified Teachers will operate from our office in Athens or from their home office within the state, overseeing instructional programs.

• Utilizing the telephone, Internet, and various curriculum tools, they will engage regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure that each child successfully completes their educational program.

• The Teacher will be tasked with successfully completing several responsibilities, which include organizing and administering State Testing, participating in professional development training sessions, grading and compiling progress reports, supporting the instructional program, collaborating with school leadership, enhancing knowledge of K-12 curriculum, communicating with parents and students, and attending professional development workshops.

• Must reside within the state of Alabama.

• Appropriate certification to teach in Alabama is required.

• Strong technological skills, particularly with Microsoft OS and MS Office applications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Customer-focused approach.

• High level of flexibility.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Track record of being a team player.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for school-based meetings, training sessions, marketing, and state testing events (may involve occasional overnight travel).

• Capability to work remotely, if required.

• Availability to work some evening hours as needed to support families.
