Middle QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Work alongside Developers and Product Owners during refinement sessions to assess requirements and clarify acceptance criteria.

• Create and document manual test cases in Xray, detailing input data and expected results.

• Ensure the availability and completeness of new features before testing commences.

• Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory manual testing.

• Carry out manual regression testing to validate release candidates and verify production environments.

• Record clear, reproducible bugs and track their resolution through re-testing and verification.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Manual QA Engineer within an Agile development setting.

• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies and best practices.

• Familiarity with test case management tools, especially Xray for Jira.

• Proficient in test planning, documentation, execution, and defect tracking.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Good knowledge of SQL and browser developer tools.

• Experience with API testing and related tools.

• Proficient in English at a B2 level or higher, both spoken and written.

• Availability to work in the Eastern Time Zone to support releases at least a few days every two months.

• Preferred: experience in product companies.

• Preferred: experience collaborating with US-based teams.

• Preferred: familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS systems in relation to desktop application installation.

• Preferred: knowledge of automated testing frameworks or a willingness to work on automation.
