Middle Full-Stack Developer, Next.js, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• FullStack Development: Engage actively in the hands-on development of intricate features and modules utilizing Next.js for the frontend and NodeJS for the backend.

• Process Management: Execute and enhance Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), which includes sprint planning, task estimation, and oversight of delivery.

• Quality Assurance: Uphold best practices in coding, testing, caching, and performance monitoring to guarantee a robust and scalable application.

• Security: Create and establish comprehensive security protocols at the application, infrastructure, and data levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Next.js App Router: At least 2 years of active, commercial experience with Next.js (v14.x/v15.x). Candidates must have contributed to a minimum of two recent projects where Next.js served as the primary frontend framework.

• NodeJS: Extensive knowledge and a minimum of 2 years of practical experience with contemporary frameworks such as NestJS, Fastify, or Hono, along with a clear understanding of their architectural trade-offs.

• Databases: Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and/or Supabase, including query optimization and schema design.

• ORM: Comprehensive, practical knowledge of Prisma or Drizzle ORM, with experience in formulating complex queries and managing migrations.

• Caching: A deep understanding of caching mechanisms (e.g., in-memory, distributed cache, CDN) and the capability to effectively implement them to enhance performance (e.g., using Redis).

• Docker: Complete proficiency in Docker for the creation, management, and deployment of containerized applications. Experience with docker-compose is essential.

• Workers & Queues: Knowledge and hands-on experience with background workers and message queues (e.g., BullMQ, RabbitMQ) for managing asynchronous tasks.

• Security: Demonstrated experience in constructing secure systems, including safeguarding against prevalent vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10), configuring Content Security Policy (CSP), CORS, securing APIs, and hardening hosting environments.

• Analytics & A/B Testing: Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel) and platforms dedicated to A/B testing.

• Communication: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Product Mindset: Capability to comprehend business objectives and convert them into technical solutions that provide tangible value to users.

• Accountability: A proactive, results-driven attitude and a willingness to assume ownership of the team's and the product's success.
