Middle Data Analyst / BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Business Collaboration & Translation: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and queries, transforming them into impactful, data-driven Power BI reports and engaging dashboards.

• Insight Creation & Visualization: Craft and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards that promote user independence, provide actionable insights, and follow contemporary UI/UX best practices.

• Advanced Development: Utilize your Power BI expertise to produce innovative visualizations, meticulously designed reports, and performance-driven scorecards using interactive and advanced methodologies.

• Data Integration & Quality Assurance: Execute Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, merging data from various sources while guaranteeing the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data employed for reporting.

• Data Transformation: Leverage Power Query to effectively shape, cleanse, and convert raw, intricate datasets into optimal, usable data models.

• Database Enhancement: Use SQL Server knowledge to design, optimize, and maintain foundational database structures, ensuring efficient data storage and quick retrieval for reporting purposes.

• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Power BI solutions by refining queries, managing data refresh schedules, and enhancing the overall user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a STEM field is strongly preferred.

• A Microsoft Power BI Certification is highly valued.

• More than 4 years of professional experience as a Power BI Engineer or in a comparable Business Intelligence role, demonstrated by a strong portfolio of successful, impactful dashboards and reports.

• Expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing BI reports and dashboards, along with in-depth knowledge of Power BI setup, configuration, and best practices.

• Extensive hands-on experience with the Microsoft BI Stack, including mastery of SQL, Power Query, DAX, and M language.

• Capability to effectively document, design, and model complex data solutions while clearly communicating technical concepts to varied internal and external audiences.

• Fluent written and spoken English is essential, with proven ability in delivering professional user training and support across a global organization.

• Highly customer-focused with a professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Outstanding organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a proven track record of working independently while effectively managing and prioritizing workload.

• Familiarity with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., Health Canada, FDA) is a definite plus.
