Middle Back-End Engineer, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create and build backend microservices for the squad's modules (Identity/RBAC/MFA, number search, purchase and porting, onboarding automation, CDR, and billing pipelines).

• Connect with external carrier, telecom, and third-party APIs (Operator Connect, number/porting providers, ServiceNow, payment and billing systems).

• Engage with event-driven flows and long-running workflows (Kafka, Temporal.io) under supervision or within established architecture.

• Develop automated tests, take part in code reviews, and adhere to CI/CD practices.

• Partner with Business Analysts to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with Frontend Engineers to establish and uphold API contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of backend development experience utilizing Node.js and TypeScript.

• Strong grasp of microservices architecture and API design (REST/GraphQL).

• Proficient in relational databases, including PostgreSQL, along with basic schema/data modeling.

• Experience in integrating third-party/external APIs.

• Understanding of event-driven systems (Kafka) and familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Temporal.io).

• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).

• Knowledge of AWS cloud services.

• Proficient in English at a B2 level or higher.

• Preferred: AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer).

• Node.js-related certifications.

• Experience with VoIP/telecom systems (SIP, signaling, voice infrastructure).
