Mid Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and implement moderately complex data ingestion pipelines that connect with both internal and external systems.

• Develop reusable components focused on data transformation, validation, and logging functionalities.

• Engage in both batch and streaming ingestion processes, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable.

• Enhance platform observability by improving monitoring, alerting, and error-handling capabilities.

• Take part in design discussions, code reviews, and incident investigations.

• Collaborate with data consumers to gather requirements and translate them into effective ingestion solutions.

• Enhance automation and testing coverage to minimize manual efforts and boost pipeline reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.

• Relevant experience as a software and data engineer, preferably in data pipelines or distributed systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred). Equivalent experience will be considered.

• Practical experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, schema management, and data modeling principles.

• Familiarity with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming) or batch processing frameworks.

• Understanding of CI/CD, version control, and testing methodologies.

• Knowledge of observability practices, including logging, metrics, and tracing.

• A strong sense of accountability and a desire to take ownership of assigned tasks.
