Mid-Senior ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• You will design and manage the data pipelines that support our AI systems — encompassing streaming, near-real-time, and batch processing.

• You will handle high-volume structured and unstructured datasets on platforms such as Spark and Databricks, creating the infrastructure that links raw data to production models for personalization, fraud detection, and GenAI applications.

• Construct and sustain ML inference and feature engineering pipelines on Databricks.

• Develop feature pipelines that involve transformations, aggregations, and time-based features at scale using PySpark.

• Deploy and oversee models in production — including versioning, registry, and serving with MLflow.

• Create batch inference jobs that produce predictions at scale.

• Integrate ML outputs with streaming infrastructure (Kafka) for downstream utilization.

• Optimize SQL queries across various engines (Databricks SQL, PostgreSQL).

• Monitor data quality, pipeline reliability, and the health of model serving.

• Collaborate with ML scientists to implement their research into production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional Python development experience in a data or ML engineering environment.

• Extensive experience with PySpark — including writing, debugging, and optimizing Spark jobs in a production setting.

• Practical experience with Databricks or comparable managed Spark platforms (EMR, Dataproc).

• Production experience with Kafka or a similar streaming platform.

• Proficient SQL skills across various database engines.

• Familiarity with ML model deployment and serving (MLflow, SageMaker, or similar tools).

• Knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Understanding of feature engineering patterns and data pipeline architecture.

• Strong analytical capabilities and data intuition.

• Exposure to recommendation systems or personalization platforms is a plus.

• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Databricks Asset Bundles, Airflow, or similar).

• Familiarity with columnar processing libraries (Polars, pandas).

• Experience with ML observability, including model performance monitoring, data drift detection, and pipeline alerting.

• Experience in the iGaming domain.
