Mid-Senior Java Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Capability to create new product features based on both business and technical specifications

• Generate performance-optimized code that is thoroughly unit tested

• Provide support for SIT, UAT, and production environments

• Implement contemporary Agile methodologies

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong academic credentials. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field

• Demonstrated working experience in the fintech/payments sector

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in middleware application development utilizing the Java programming language (with at least 1 year using Java 11)

• Proficiency in Java 11+ Functional Programming as well as Object-Oriented Design (OOD)

• Basic understanding of Event-Driven software design patterns

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish

• Strong technical writing abilities for product requirements, design documents, and product specifications

• Experience working with version control and source management systems (e.g., Git)

• Analytical mindset combined with practical problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Specific experience:

• Expertise in Java 11+ microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud (Netflix OSS)

• Familiarity with Spring 5 Framework, OAuth2 Security, JPA persistence and ORM modeling, as well as Restful API design

• Proficient understanding of the Git code versioning tool
