Mid-Level/Senior Data Developer, Python, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve data ingestion applications utilizing AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, ECS, SNS, SQS, and Kafka.

• Engage in technical inceptions and refinement sessions.

• Create and sustain automated tests focusing on the test pyramid methodology.

• Conduct code reviews and play a role in enhancing code quality.

• Oversee incident response and manage production deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python programming.

• Knowledge of AWS services, including Glue, Lambda, S3, EC2, and Athena.

• Proficiency in PySpark.

• Experience in unit test automation and an understanding of the test pyramid concept.

• Familiarity with relational databases.

• Capability to technically refine user stories and solutions.

• Strong emphasis on code quality and adherence to programming best practices.

• Excellent communication skills and alignment with the team.

• Preferred experience with LocalStack and Infrastructure as Code.

• Advanced understanding of serverless architecture.

• Knowledge in observability practices.

• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, SQS, and SNS.

• Understanding of Step Functions and pipeline orchestration, including DAG concepts.

• Familiarity with the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).

• Knowledge of data mesh and federated data governance.

• Understanding of FinOps as applied to data.

• Experience with data quality tools such as Great Expectations, Deequ, or PyDeequ.
