Mid-level SQL Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance stored procedures utilized in analytical processes and data integrations for BI systems.

• Create efficient SQL queries to support reports, KPIs, and management dashboards.

• Implement and manage ETL processes and data loading routines.

• Collaborate with BI and business teams to comprehend requirements and ensure data availability for decision-making, analyzing scenarios, and proposing technical solutions.

• Analyze and resolve issues related to query and database process performance.

• Ensure the quality, integrity, and consistency of data provided in analytical environments.

• Support activities related to the evolution, maintenance, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of database routines associated with the BI environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• SQL Server: Extensive experience in administration and development on the Microsoft SQL Server platform along with the use of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

• Advanced T-SQL: Expertise in developing and optimizing complex queries, including data manipulation with SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE.

• Stored Procedures and Functions: Experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing stored procedures, as well as scalar and table-valued functions for analytical processes and data integration.

• Data Modeling: Understanding of dimensional modeling for BI and Data Warehouse environments, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.

• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, ensuring data integrity, performance, and reliability.

• Data and File Handling: Proficient in importing, exporting, and processing files in CSV, XLS, TXT, and other formats used in data integrations.

• Performance and Tuning: Knowledge of database performance optimization, including execution plan analysis, index creation, partitioning, and query tuning.

• Business Intelligence (BI): Conceptual understanding of BI architecture, dashboards, and analytical processes.

• Versioning and Best Practices: Experience with technical documentation, code standardization, and SQL development best practices.
