Mid-level Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance backend applications using Python (Django), prioritizing quality, performance, and maintainability;

• Contribute to the development of essential business systems that handle large data volumes and have significant operational impacts;

• Create and sustain RESTful APIs, service integrations, and facilitate communication with other company systems;

• Engage in data modeling and manipulation using PostgreSQL, ensuring both efficiency and consistency;

• Develop solutions that integrate with data pipelines and support distributed processing environments;

• Work on messaging-based integrations, aiding in the advancement of asynchronous and event-driven architectures;

• Participate in the complete development life cycle, from analysis through to production monitoring;

• Investigate and troubleshoot production issues with structured root cause analysis;

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Business teams to develop solutions that align with company objectives;

• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of observability practices, including logs, metrics, and tracing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with the Django framework (Python) for application development;

• Familiarity with messaging and/or event streaming technologies (such as Kafka or similar);

• Proven experience in integrating services and developing APIs (REST);

• Proficient in source control (Git – Bitbucket, GitHub) and collaborative workflows;

• Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation;

• Experience with distributed, event-driven architectures;

• Background in cloud environments (AWS or similar);

• Preferred but not mandatory: experience with Databricks and/or Delta Lake;

• Experience with financial systems or capital markets;

• Familiarity with streaming-based architectures (Kafka);
