This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• The Java Developer engages in or contributes to the research, design, development, and testing of systems software, software applications, and/or tools for new programs and subprograms.
• Responsibilities also encompass enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.
• This role entails coding, testing, integrating, deploying, and documenting software solutions.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship Required: Yes.
• Experience in server-side software development, including the configuration of web servers (both IBM/Apache and IIS).
• Implementation of web services (SOAP and REST).
• Proficiency in SQL databases, particularly MS SQL Server.
• Knowledge of XML processing.
• Software development experience using Java, JUnit, Spring, Hibernate, Log4j, and other libraries within Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Familiarity with tools such as Netbeans, Maven, Git, and Jira.
• Working knowledge of contemporary Software Development Tools and Databases, including but not limited to Java, C++, .Net, etc.
• Strong organizational skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Experience in communicating technical issues effectively to management and Government personnel.
• Critical thinking and analytical abilities, creativity, and a demonstrated commitment to quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
